Before we stepped in, email was barely contributing to their revenue. They were sending one or two basic campaigns per month with no real structure, no flows in place, no pop-ups to grow the list, and no SMS strategy at all. Most of their list wasn’t engaging, and repeat purchases were almost entirely dependent on paid traffic and existing habits.
The first thing we did was rebuild their foundations. There were no automated flows running whatsoever, so we designed and launched high-converting versions of the core revenue drivers - Welcome, Abandon Cart, Checkout, Browse, Post-Purchase, and Winback. These alone started generating consistent revenue within the first month.
They also had no sign-up forms in place, so list growth had completely stalled. We built and implemented new forms with a stronger offer and mobile-optimised design, which started converting at 9.4% and drove thousands of new subscribers in the first few weeks.
SMS hadn't been touched. They had a list of exactly zero. We launched compliant collection points across the site, started building their SMS audience, and integrated it into both campaigns and flows. This instantly boosted abandoned checkout recovery and opened an extra revenue stream they weren’t using before.
Once the foundations were in place, we shifted focus to campaigns. Instead of sending one or two basic emails per month, we introduced a proper campaign calendar and increased output to three to four sends per week. Every campaign was fully designed, on-brand, and focused on driving clicks and conversions - not just pushing discounts.
With engagement climbing and deliverability improving, each send began performing like a mini-launch. What used to make £8k per month in total started bringing in £2k–£8k per campaign.
Over six months, we increased email revenue by 3.46x, helping scale total top-line revenue by £377,000 - an additional £62,000 per month on average.
